About the Product: Kings County Straight Bourbon takes its inspiration from an unexpected place — Scotland. Rather than following the standard Kentucky playbook of corn plus rye or wheat, Kings County builds their bourbon with 80% organic New York corn and 20% English Golden Promise malted barley, the same heritage barley varietal used by Scottish distilleries for generations. That high-malt mashbill is then double pot distilled — a richer, more expressive method than the column stills common in large-scale bourbon production — before aging in a variety of new charred oak barrels for anywhere between 3 and 7 years.
